Access4Bikes (A4B)
A4B is all about getting fair and reasonable access for mountain bikers to the trails on our public lands in Marin. The reasons that access is currently so restricted are political in nature. A4B's 527 PAC exists in order to address these political reasons with political solutions, which include taking a direct role in trail access decisions by public land managers, electing officials who are willing to be fair about bike access, mobilizing mountain bikers to become a political force on their own behalf, and building an informed community of advocates for fair access.
Recently we formed our own 501c3 to focus on the hard work of stewarding our trails. Now that Marin Open Space is doing the hard work to create more riding opportunities we are now in a position to partner up and provide critical trail construction and maintenance help. Now its time for the Marin Water District to follow in Open Space's footprints and do the same.
There is a long way to go in Marin for mtb access but with Access4Bikes help and leadership we are getting there.
