Description
The preferred direction is north to south - you'll be going more downhill in this direction which makes all the bumps a bit easier.
This trail is nonstop bumps and small ledges on almost 100% slickrock. It's remarkably rideable and you if you pedal hard, you'll stick to the rock and roll over things that look intimidating at first.
You'll wind in and out and up and down a lot, and all the bumps can get tiring. Despite no major climbs, you're hardly ever riding flat, and you might be surprised how slow you go. Riders that might average 8-10 MPH on singletrack might go 4-5MPH here, and it's much more tiring than a 5 mile ride might suggest!
It's marked very well, and the orange paint usually indicates the easiest line.
This is an easier black diamond trail suitable for most intermediates willing to dismount occasionally, and it's possible to bail out at many points and head down to
Dino-Flow (much easier) or to
Copper Ridge 4x4 (very easy).
You can make a great loop by starting at the south parking area, riding up
Dino-Flow and back on EKG.
