Description

Sugar Magnolia was recently re-routed and rebuilt as part of the big logging / deforestation effort that closed the West Mag trail system for much of the 2012 riding season.

The trail features a fairly technical rocky section that makes for a challenging but rideable climb on the way up, and several nicely built berms that make the downhill fun as well.

Although it's a short trail, it's very fun. As with much of West Magnolia, there are optional moves and jumps over rocks if you know where to look.

This trail can be used as an entrance to West Magnolia riding up towards the school from town, but it's not the most common trailhead to start from.

Sugar Mag is sandier towards the top, but still enjoyable.

Sugar Magnolia flows very well with the work that's been done as part of the 2012 fuels cleanup project.

Super meh. Kind of trail that reminds you that BoCo is a decade or so behind the times.
