Overview

This is a fast and fun ride with some tight singletrack and fire roads. Located on Arnold Air Force Base.

Even though there is 620 feet elevation change, it's spread out over all the trail so there are very few hard climbs.

Need to Know

Nearby campground is nice but you are required to have military or ex-military person in your party. FYI, you don't need a military or ex-military to ride the trails. They are open to the public.

Description

This race loop uses the existing AEDC trail system. It's typically straightforward singletrack through open forest with only a few short climbs and a fire road section or two. A few roots but nothing too technical or unrideable. One interesting section is very twisty singletrack through a grove of trees with incredibly tight clearance. If you have wide bars, be prepared!

Fast, dry hard-pack fine sand with only a few fallen leaves on the trail so far. Lots of needles covering the trail in the pine stands. Fun! 13mi — 1h 30m
