Description

Best singletrack in Pawtuckaway. Combine with Split Rock trail and Shaw trail for great loop.

Woronoco trail was custom built for mountain biking. Pawtuckaway is hilly, rocky and swampy in places. Although there are no long climbs on the trail, it is almost continuously climbing, descending or turning and you'll need focus and energy to ride it without dabbing. Trail conditions are packed dirt with many rocky sections, roots, rock features and bridges. There are many short switchbacks, bench cuts, and maneuvers over and around large rocks and through rock gardens. Trail also has a couple nice swamp views with one marked viewpoint towards South Moutain; however, unless you stop, you'll be too busy riding the trail to look around much.

The trail rides equally well in both directions without much difference in difficulty. It's sustained difficult for its entire distance.
