Description

This short singletrack connector is called the Tandem Cut-off by locals and has nice flow. It's great for making a short loop from the Lajitas Airport Trailhead that includes the eastern half of the Sport Course and Singletrack trails. If you had so much fun on the Sport Course trail that you want to do it again (a common sentiment) you can do a shorter version of Loop 3 and catch most of the best singletrack. It's an excellent short loop to add on to the end of a longer ride or to combine with Loop 2 for quick and fun loop.

This trail was built during the Chihuahuan Desert Challenge days to create a dedicated loop for the tandem class in the cross country race.

It's all fast, flowing and downhill from here to the trailhead. One of the funnest sections of trail in the area.
