Need to Know

Closed to bikes and motorized users 12/1 - 4/15 for seasonal wildlife closure. Open year round for foot and equestrian users.

Description

You can start just off the paved bike path next to Eagle Ranch Road, or at the trailhead at the end of Silver Spur road. Either way, follow mildly rocky terrain that wanders around a bit with great views of the distant mountains.

Pass Abrams Ridge trail to the right (a more fun ascent, but a little harder), then descend a bit down to the valley bottom and join dirt road near Abrams creek. Follow the creek on doubletrack until you enter the trees/apsens you'll turn south and cross the creek. Continue up a rough 4x4 rd (about 1/2 mile) through a few switchbacks and you'll arrive at an intersection, Road 8380.

Less than 25% singletrack. Upper steep section is very washed out. Abrams Ridge is a better ascent.
