The volunteers who cut this trail were bench cutting fools willing to put in a ton of work. Combining tight bench cut tread with snug turns and punchy ascents and descents creates a challenging yet fun ride.

Bridges are sprinkled throughout the trail. All are reasonably wide. A couple, however, will likely cause the tentative rider to take pause. The first is roughly 40' long over water and has a gentle turn in the center. The other is about 10' long, slightly more narrow and at the bottom of a short descent crossing a small gully.

Beware of one steep descent about 2/3 way through that seems to come out of nowhere. You could unwillingly become airborne.

Right near the end of this trail is a big flat rock that looms up just beyond a smoking descent. It has a nice leading edge, but the back side has sent some riders over their bars.

The wooden technical skills section is easily entered at the end of Coal Miner's Daughter. There is also an expert level line including a wooden berm that can be taken down into the area from the ridge above. If the expert line is taken the final portion of Coal Miner's Daughter is omitted.
