This connector rides well in either direction. The description is from south to north beginning at Junction 11 and ending at Junction 5.

If you are coming from Junction 19, turn left at Junction 11. It's easy to miss this turn because of trees hiding the sign.

The first section of the trail is mostly downhill to the paved Hyde Park Road, and has a couple of fun and challenging switchbacks along the way. Just before the road at .7 miles, you'll have to cross a steep-sided arroyo, then climb the small embankment to the road.

After crossing the road, the rest of the trail is uphill, but quite rideable, in general. Sharp uphill corners provide the technical challenges.

At Junction 10, continue straight a short distance to the end of this connector at Junction 5.
