Overview

This is a mixed use trail with horses, hikers, runners and bikers. Everyone is usually super friendly though and many have dogs off leash. I think this ride offers some of the best views around as the trail rides along the lake.

Need to Know

There are a few small creek crossings. Mostly fast flowy stuff with great views.

Lots of roots but it's not a very technical ride overall.

Description

This is a good route if you go to Issaqueena and want to ride over 10 miles and not go on trails that may or may not be maintained. These are the most popular trails so you'll most likely see other hikers bikers and even horses. There are a few sections that are ridden twice but it puts together my favorite trails: Lawrence, Rocky, Dam Road, Stop Sign, Collarbone, Indian Springs and Roy.

From the parking lot get on Roy or one of the other trails at the bottom of the parking lot. After a while on that trail you'll eventually be on Lawrence when you see the white bench in the middle of the woods. Lawrence takes you to the dam along one of the best trails here.

When you get to the dam, Come up Dam Rd, this is the only fire road section and is a steady climb for a while. You can eventually turn to the left to get on Dam Rd Trail. It is a bit hard to follow. The best I can tell you is use GPS or the MTB Project MTB Project mobile app. Worst case you just end back on Lawrence.

If you do it right you'll hit the road after about 2 miles and can cross the street like you are going down the fire road in front of you but immediately turn to the left to be on Stop Sign trail. After Stop Sign you are back at the parking lot and can take Collarbone DH back to Lawrence and then find Rocky Logging Road DH. After Rocky make your way back using the same trails as where you started.
