Description

The wide dirt road mildly slopes upward for a mile. Near the end of that mile, ignore the trail split on the right, staying left on Rose Hills Fire Rd. It gets steep for the next 3/4 mile where there'll be four truck-sized switchbacks and a crumbling section of old pavement at the end. Here the trail splits, left and right. Go right, toward the tower high up on a hill.

At the base of that hill, take the easier left split and push hard for 1/2 mile to the high point just below the tower. Visit if you want, I usually don't. Continue straight, now downhill, and follow the road to a chain link fence and go right.
