Description

Starting from La Espina Ledge, this trail begins with some tight, steep switchbacks up to the top of the hill. Upon reaching the top, riders are treated to an amazing view of the mountains to the East and North and of West El Paso and Juarez to the South.

This is a good time to check your brakes. You'll need them for the descent.

Continuing along this trail involves riding down a steep, tilted (25% grade) rock slab alongside a low cliff. The trail is not extreme but requires very careful braking to avoid slipping on loose rocks that litter the slab.

The trail continues on various rock slabs before turning in to a rocky singletrack and ending in the North side of Granola Bowl.

This is an awesome trail, but riders need to be very careful. You can be seriously hurt here because of the steepness of the slabs.
