Direction varies by day. See Fort Yargo Outer Loop CCW ride for details.

Description

Classed as "Advanced" by the signage. Easiest when ridden CCW.

Features, going CCW, include a double-dip gully. It's easy and fun when going CCW, but requires skill when going CW to navigate the first dip. Carry your speed into the second dip so you can make it up the steep side of the gully.

Next you come to some rollers, a bridge crossing, then a steep climb to a bench at the top of the hill.

Coming downhill from the bench, you come to another gully crossing. Again, it is easy going CCW, but when going CW it is more difficult than it looks because of the large tree that you must navigate around immediately after coming up the side of the gully.

There is another bridge crossing, then a climb then descent to the pipeline. The trail is narrow, with some ups and downs on turns where you best ratchet your pedals.

This trail is mostly through hardwoods, and even though it does not have a lake view, is one of the more scenic parts of the Outer Loop.
