Description

This is not the epic Steamboat mountain biking you've heard about... but it might be a great outing for a fun day with the family. It's also an important connector for those heading to the real trails, especially on Emerald Mountain, which is accessed right from this path. Most of town, and the ski resort base, is within a few blocks of this path, or one of its offshoots.

The trail itself is typical urban bike path: it does a good job avoiding roads whenever possible, and is quite beautiful along as it mostly follows the Yampa River. There are no difficulties and it is suitable for anyone.
