The Bathtub Trail starts out behind the Pigeon Shelter at the intersection of Kummer and Mckinney Roads. It is usually accessed after completing the Golf Course trail which exits across the street onto Kummer Road. It is one of the oldest trails used for mountain biking in North Park. It is named the Bathtub Trail because there is a bathtub on the ground along the double wide trail section that leads down to Kummer Road.

To find the Bathtub Trail, ride to the left of the Pigeon Shelter through the grass next to Mckinney Road. Look for an opening in the woods. Be careful as there is a serious dip just after you enter the woods. Follow the trail which is a double wide. If you stay on the double wide it will go down a hill and put you onto Brown Road at the intersection of Brown Road and Kummer Road.

To find the sweet singletrack section, take the second right off of the doublewide (the first right is marked with horseshoes, goes down to Kummer and has the actual bathtub). The second right takes you to the section installed by Don Cunningham which has great twisty singletrack descents. You'll encounter a Y and stay right to come down to the North Ridge. If you go left at this Y you'll be head into the Nature Center Area. Continue to follow Don's singletrack until you see a right off the trail - take this and the trail will lead to Kummer Road by the Ice Rink. Continue straight to re-join the old Bathtub Trail and exit and Brown Road and Kummer Road intersection.

From either exit point head north towards the intersection of Pierce Mill Road and North Ridge Drive to access the North Ridge Trail system.
