Overview
This ride has two great climbs and two great descents.
Description
Starting from the Reuter campground, take
Trail J - Reuter Springs across the parking lot and crossing the highway. Climb a 2.3 mile section of singletrack.
Go right at the exit and head north. You'll come upon an ATV trail to the right, near the Reuter springs sign. Go up about 50 yards and then look for the right turn to enter Bitch Pitch singletrack. This is a short and steep climb up. Granny all the way...
Upon the apex of the climb, you'll enter the road or
Trail B - Sand Pit. Head east and follow the road/trail. You'll then enter a gated non-motorized area, and descend to the sandpit,
Trail T - Sundance junction. You' ll clearly see the sandpit.
Take a left and head north and east following the trail across the ridge line, with overviews of Ogden, Tent, South fork Trails and Sundance Mountain. You'll then descend a short rocky bit, and come to the area known as the saddle, a 4-way crossing of several trails. Head east and up and over to the Sundance trailhead. Note: the descent to the trailhead is steep in areas with unfortunate log barriers for water diversion. This will be a quick ride down, but a long climb back to Bitch pitch for your return to your start point. The Reuter downhill is worth the effort as is the way to the Sundance trailhead.
