Overview
Great cross-country singletrack that starts out fast but gets technical as you approach the bottom end of the creek bed. Erosion has taken its toll but it smoothes out eventually. Turns into a flatter section that gradually works its way back up the hill.
Description
Take
Dogwood all the way down and turn right on
Dead Elvis. It starts out fast but you'll soon be grabbing for the brakes as you hit the creek bed with all the big loose chunky rocks that are scattered about.
It opens up occasionally so crank hard when you can to get your speed up. At the bottom end of the downhill it gradually flattens out and opens up to a smooth section but ends quickly at the intersection of
Can O' Corn and
Dead Elvis.
Connect with
Dead Elvis on your right and enjoy the short narrow switchy route until you hit
Ball O' Nails. Enjoy the increased heart rate as you climb up a really sweet section of singletrack that follows a really pretty scenic section of an open wooded hilltop.
After the short climbs and a few quick turns, you'll end up connecting with
Buddha. At this point you have completed the majority of the steep climbs so catch your breath and take in the scenery. Stay to your left as you exit
Buddha and connect with the east side of
Airport Loop, put the hammer down on this semi-flat segment until you reach
Center Road.
Turn to your right and cross the creek and then take your first left onto
10Bridges and within minutes you'll be back at the parking lot. Very nice workout ride that can typically done in an hour.
