Description

The Continental Divide Trail follows upper end of Lick Creek Road for about a mile between Big Hole Pass and the Bradley Gulch section of it.

Where the CDT leaves the road is tricky and easy to miss. After cresting the climb and quickly descending to a saddle, look to the left for CDT signs set back from the road.

If you find yourself on a long ridgeline climb, turn back and look for the singletrack in the saddle.

If you like forest road climbs, you can ride Lick Creek Road up to the CDT from US-93 to access the Bradley Gulch to Sheep Creek ride and complete it as an almost 30 mile loop. The road climbs close to 4000' vertical up to Morgan Mountain, then descends about 900' to the junction of CDT singletrack. It is just over 12 miles from the highway to the CDT on Lick Creek Road.
