Description

This is a side loop that adds some gratuitous technical riding in, just for the fun of it.

It starts and ends on the Golden Hill Blue Loop. It's almost always ridden starting at the higher trailhead. Look for the Whammy sign and start on some unassuming singletrack. When you reach the creek, you have the option of crossing and doing just the lower whammy. Instead, stay left and do a short low-gear climb before the trail curves right and descends. This is not a fast descent, but there are some tricky rock sections that take some technical skill. You have gravity on your side, which can be good or bad!

Soon you'll reach the above mentioned short cut. This time, take it across the creek and descend this time on the left bank. Again, the trail offers a few technical rock sections requiring skill to navigate.

Soon you'll cross the creek and take another unassuming singletrack back to the Blue Loop.
