The swamp loop. Often muddy, but quite a treat when its dry enough to ride.

Seasonally, as in when it is wet, this trail will be too wet to ride. Avoid it in these conditions: ride dirt trails not mud trails.

Description

The northern-most segment at River Bends Park, which starts off of the pavement and snakes along the Clinton-Kalamazoo Canal tailings and the railroad grade before turning south and ending just across from the start of the park's main trail.

This trail is built in flood plane and is frequently muddy. If you find this trail is muddy, turn back and take one of the shortcuts out to return to dry trail.

When rideable this trail has a large number of roots; many more than is typical for a trail in this area.
