Description

Begin at the end of the Pine Street cul-de-sac. The first section is a steep steppy downhill with some exposure, so walk this section unless you have trials skills. Shortly after a sharp switchback you'll reach the canyon bottom. Cross to the south side of the stream bed before mounting your bike. The trail still has some serious technical obstacles at the beginning but becomes progressively easier towards the end.

There is often water collected in pools along the stream. Stop at the end of the trail for spectacular views of the houses on the clifftops with the canyon opening to the East revealing the Rio Grande Valley and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains beyond.
