Description

Start in the Bridges section below the Los Alamos Aquatic Center and ride along the chain link fence towards Pueblo Canyon. At the end of the fence, an opening begins to follow the canyon to the east. After 1 mile, a new section called "Jim's Switchbacks" climbs even higher up the canyon edge.

Now the fun really begins as a wide trail has been cut into the side of the canyon. Be careful on some narrow turns around trees and protruding boulders. Near the end of the trail there is a great viewpoint down the canyon towards the Rio Grande Valley and Sangre de Cristo mountains.

The trail technically ends at the end of Graduation Canyon Trail, but there is a short switchbacky hike-a-bike up to the Los Alamos Mesa Trail or you can power up a steep gravel utility road to get out of the canyon.
