Description

The Borges Ranch Trail begins just before the Old Borges Ranch parking lot on Borges Ranch Road. It briefly follows the road then crosses the parking lot.

It is easiest to access if you start in the first Old Borges Ranch parking lot. Look for the trailhead on the right side. The trail parallels the parking lot and then continues as a fire road up into Shell Ridge Open Space. The first intersection is the Briones to Mt. Diablo Trail which leads to Mt. Diablo State Park. If you go straight (each intersection is well marked with sign posts) you'll continue to the Alamo side of Diablo Foothills Regional Park.
