Description

From the parking lot go through the gate with the big sign. Since several trails are accessed from here, read the sign. Clockwise is best way, so go to the left (north) which will soon turn east, there are signs. There are side trails if to add if wanted. Follow the trail, staying left, to the top of the ridge, great views.

There is a bench on the ridge. Whether you stop there or not, continue past until an intersection with sign that will show a near 180 degree turn that is the return half of the loop (downhill with lots of twist and turns and whoops; can be ridden fast if wanted).

For a longer and even more fun ride, do the Figure 8, which is Split Rock Loop plus White Rock: start by going Right at original big sign by parking lot up Bonehead to the Split Rock Loop, then when back at the intersection with Bonehead turn right (NE) on Junction Trail to the aforementioned intersection at the top of the ridge that starts the downhill part of White Rock.

At the very top, great views...minus the smoke! This is my second time riding this trail. This last one with my wife, which I wanted her to experience an excellent trail with some beautiful views and wildlife. Unfortunately, the smoke didn’t help :(
