Description

This trail is steep, has several obstacles, switchbacks, creek crossings (some quite deep), and lots of intersections with other trails. Trail starts either at the Five Points intersection or off of the Lake Hydaway dam. From Five Points, it starts with a small up and down to a really steep climb. At the top of the climb, the trail bares left (straight will take you over a wooden feature and out onto Valley View Rd.). This section is a fast downhill that goes to a fire road intersection. Continue straight across the fire road and into a slight uphill. This eventually goes into a couple rather steep and tight switchbacks.

Once you reach the top, there will be an intersection... right takes you out onto Valley View Rd. again, so take the left. Climb this up to the intersection with Killer Bees and stay straight.

The next intersection crosses a fireroad - the trail continues on the other side. At the next intersection, the trail crosses Split Decision so stay straight.

The trail then intersects The Great Escape so stay straight here, cross the fireroad and take the trail a short distance to the fireroad again - from here the trail goes into the woods on the other side but loops right back out, or you can just go down the fire road about 100 ft and take a right into the woods to continue onto Idiots.

This is a fun downhill section that goes up and down the banks of a gully, over a couple creek crossings (one does not currently have a bridge) and comes out on Oaks Way. Idiots continues directly across and up to the ridge above. Follow this down a wider section of trail and out to Quiet Hills Dr. which is a gravel road.

Idiot's continues directly across and then goes left across the creek. Another 100ft it crosses back over the creek and then once again. This section crosses the creek a couple more times before coming out at another intersection. Go left back across the creek and this section will take you past a couple of campsites (always stay straight, several side trails through here) to the end at the Lake Hydaway dam.
