I did not know what to expect from this trail (primarily hiking, but MTB is permitted), so I decided to go uphill until I reached something that I could not ride downhill. About 3-3/4 hrs later I reached the top! With grades often 15+% going uphill meant a little pedaling, but mostly walking.
This is a very rough trail. Water bars are constructed of stones set vertically in the ground. They stick up like teeth and are obscured by grass.
From the parking area, pass through a fence zig-zag, then a gate that should remain closed. The grassy trail heads for the mountain with climbs that are just a warmup. The trail is fairly easy to follow as it climbs past a couple of springs and into large trees.
Eventually you'll contour along the base of cliffs and reach a large parking area on 366.
With a shuttle ride to the top, this would make a superb downhill. There are many switchbacks, but none have penalty points like cliffs. A few are so tight and steep that you have to stop and turn the bike 180 degrees. Once you reach the grass keep an eye out for the water bars!
