Overview

Valmont Bike Park is a great example of what a community bike park can be - it has something for everyone! There are endless ways to explore the park and every level of rider will leave Valmont with a smile on his or her face. This is simply one way to link together some of the more XC oriented trails in the park and it will give you a good tour of what the park has to offer.

Need to Know

This park closes due to poor trail conditions. Check facebook.com/ValmontBikePark/ for closures.

Description

Starting from the west parking lot, pedal towards the base of the slopestyle lines. Start a mellow pedal up Backtrack, an easy-rolling singletrack climb. Keep left at the first intersection onto Mid-Mesa and again onto Gear Down.

At the top of the hill, consider a rip through the pump track before entering the Mesa Flow trail. Follow it to a junction with Corkscrew and turn left onto Corkscrew. Hold on as you rip through the well-built berms of Corkscrew and keep left at the bottom to merge onto Start/Finish. Turn left across a small bridge and look for Hotlap on your left on the other side.

Turn left on Hotlap and follow it to Dirt 101. Enjoy the optional features along Dirt 101 but look for the second left to cross another bridge. Immediately over the bridge, turn left onto The Glades - Outer Loop and get ready to pump and jump your way along.

Continue on The Glades - Outer Loop past the gazebo and enjoy some more flowing, pumping goodness. Once you loop back to the main dirt path, turn left and follow it back to Dirt 101. turn left and enjoy some more optional features in the shade. When Dirt 101 spits out onto the main path, turn tight to head back to the west parking lot.

Now you know where everything is... go session!
