“A scenic ride through cypress swamp and managed pine.
”
Although this is a short doubletrack trail, a long wooden bridge that curves through a cypress swamp makes this ride an easy 3-star thanks to the scenery.
There is a total of 24 miles of very flat dirt doubletrack in this park. Pick up a free map at the office. The trails are mostly through managed pine and not particularly scenic, but there are some boardwalks going through cypress swamps and some old pine growth. There are numerous stations where the processed sewage from Panama City Beach is discharged keeping everything watered and green -- don't worry, the water at this stage is crystal clear and does not smell.
Absolutely beautiful! Very nice earlyish morning ride. I went after the storm last night and the huge puddles and wet terrain made it pretty exciting!
