Description

The Oil Well Trail begins at the parking lot right off of Hassam Rd and is named for the former Oil Well which can still be seen about 1/2 way through the trail. Keep an eye out for a great viewpoint where the trees were clear-cut for overhead powerlines.

Keep following the Oil Well Trail to connect to the Meeks Run Trail, which runs along the stream of Meeks Run. Additionally, you can loop down to the Cave Trail and the opposite end of Meeks Run Trail via the Meeks Run to Oil Well Alternate Connector.
