Description

This trail heads up from the more popular trails close to town and takes you high into the mountains overlooking Sun Valley. The start of the trail is marked with a large rock cairn (no sign) on Griffin Butte Connector. From here the crowds thin out and the trail begins to take on a more rustic feel.

The climb is slow and steady and will cross some challenging talus fields that require some bike handling. Close to the creek you'll need to keep an eye out for stinging nettle since it tends to lurk along the stream banks. If you don't know what stinging nettle looks like then look it up. The plant is not poisonous, it just hurts for a little while and can cause small bumps.

As the creek gets smaller, the trail gets steeper. The last part has some switchbacks, but there will be some hike-a-bike at the end. When you hit the trail junction with Osberg Ridge Trail you'll be at the top.

So close to the top! It's diffidently H.A.B country at this point in the loop.

Lower slopes of Adams Gulch. Not very steep but the scree is deep and very tough to handle.

Unridable! I used it to come down from the Osgood Ridge trail. There are a lot of trees down and stream crossings that are now gullies.
