This trail can be ridden in either direction.

There are two access points off of Coal Creek Canyon / Edge Loop. The first (West) access starts with a grueling climb (read: hike). To bypass this climb, continue on the Edge Loop until you get to the second clearly marked trail access.

The ride has no sustained climbs, but does gain elevation east to west and drops west to east. There are no sustained steep climbs, but a number of punchy short climbs, tight turns, sandy washes, and areas of technical/rocky terrain. If riding from the east access on the Edge Loop, I recommend riding to the lookout before the extremely steep/loose descent (descending the grueling climb mentioned earlier) and flip it back west to east, finishing with a long descent down Coal Creek Canyon / Edge Loop.

If riding the Edge loop (clockwise), this offers a nice detour of singletrack (and, of course, that grueling climb).
