Description

The trail starts off the Scott Mountain Lookout Road (FS555BC) and begins with a very steep loose and rocky descent. Watch yourself in the steep parts since you are a long ways from help.

At the bottom of the descent, you'll cross Lightning Creek and then you'll start to climb up and over a ridge. The trail is steep and challenging and will involve some hiking for sure.
Part way up the climb you'll come to a junction with the Alley Trail. This is roughly the halfway point and the climbing moderates a little. Once at the top of the ridge you'll have a fun descent to the Lightning Ridge Trail. Take in the views on this ride and enjoy the solitude since you likely won't see a soul.
