Description

Cross the North Fork of Cache Creek and head up the West Fork of Spanish Creek to the ridge. (M5) The grade starts out gently as it follows the creek bottom. After the first mile, the grade kicks up and the 'climbing' starts. Around two miles, there are some outside bends that allow for a view up and down the canyon.

There are 3 roads that take off from this one. The first is Twin Valley Road, which explores the western slope. The second is a short spur that drops down to the bottom and dead ends at Spanish Creek. The third also ties to the western slope.

The beauty of this ride is that it allows access to the Southern end of the Mendocino National Forest. There are trails everywhere up on top due to the action of the dirt bike crowd from Stonyford. From the top, you have access to several longer rides and loops back down.
