Description

This describes only the connector section and not the entire loop.

When used from North to South, the start is a bit tricky. The end of the Truckee Ditch Trail unceremoniously pours you out onto a fire road. It seems the trail runs out there, and you have to look for it as a runout that switchbacks left just before the Sandusky Rd. intersection. Going the other way it is not an issue. The other end of the trail has an organic, seamless transition to Sandusky Trail near the School St. cut-off.

The trail itself is flowy, mellow, loamy soft dirt that meanders through the pines, down the hillside en route to Sandusky Trail. Eventually you'll cross another beautifully crafted bridge over Sandusky Creek. Overall the trail has the same characteristics as the others in the area.
