Description

This trail is AWESOME! and located next to many other trails. Off Hwy 58 Take Goodman crk rd (5833) up until the 6 mile marker and you'll pass the 514 spur on your left and parking is on the left and the trail is right there on the right. (The trail is easy to miss). Head on up the trail to Mt June or explore Sawtooth trail, Hardesty mt, whatever, choose your own adventure. And then get stoked for a awesome descent.

The lower portion of the trail was constructed in the 1980's to tie into the historic Eagles Rest Trail #3461, which led to the Sawtooth Trail #3634 located along the ridgeline between Hardesty Mountain and Mount June.

At the junction, bearing right will lead to Mount June Trail and a left will lead past Sawtooth Rock and on to Hardesty Mountain trail. The trail climbs up the ridgeline with switchbacks and has an excellent view toward the west.

Lost creek trail #3462, heading toward Mt June trail.

Trail junction. Go check out Sawtooth and Hardesty if you want. The trail does not go to Eagles Rest. You would have to ride along a road to get to Eagles.

Trail side refreshment. Splish splash.

This is the trail. Not much of a sign with no trail name. but it is the loamiest piece of sweet singletrack EVER! I swear the layer of tiny pine cones was like 3 inches thick in places. Super cool Pine stand with huge stumps reminiscent of the ancient forest that once stood here.

Where the trail meets the road. From Here down is killer loam. From here up is wicked switchbacks.

You could park up here but you would be missing the delicious loam.
