The East Branch of the PRT represents a more swoopy, cross-country feel of the Peterson Ridge Trail System. There is a great log ride hiding on the east branch, along with great rock outcroppings and scenic viewpoints.

The trail leaves straight from town and is a net ascent as it trends south and then west. There are many "ladder rung" trails that connect this trail to its western half, the PRT West.
