The ends of this trail are gated dead-end roads with private property adjacent. From the northern end, you can connect in to the old town of Elkinsville, IN. From the southern end, you can connect to Maumee, IN and reach the Hickory Ridge trail system. There is a connector near the midpoint to the Nebo Ridge Trail that allows you to build a loop.

This is not an official USFS trail. It is an old county road that was closed many years ago and was torn up by off-road vehicles for years before being closed to all motorized traffic. The closure was supposed to be temporary, but it appears that it's now a permanent closure.

The surface was formerly gravel, but it has reverted significantly over the years. It's more or less wide trail or even singletrack in many places.
