Description

Trail 16 is one of the better trails in the Hickory Ridge system for biking. It is farther from the Horse Camp, so it receives less horse traffic. Its northern terminus is off Cornett Rd. near its intersection with W. County Road 760 N. Trail 16 heads to the west where it crosses Callahan Branch and climbs over the ridge, then descends to cross Callahan Branch again and intersect with Hickory Ridge Trail 14, Hickory Ridge Trail 15, and Hickory Ridge Trail 17.

It climbs steeply out of the valley, reaches its highest point just before it loops back towards the east, crosses a pipeline right-of-way, gradually descends, and intersects with Hickory Ridge Trail 17 again at its southern terminus, near the eastern terminus of Hickory Ridge Trail 17.

Trails nearest the Horse Camp receive higher horse traffic and, therefore, have more horse bogs. They are better to ride in the wintertime when frozen.
