Family Friendly Scenic, pleasant, and easy ride suitable for everyone.

Overview

Sunriver is laced with paved bike paths, and a multitude of options exist. This route covers the most scenic section and makes a nice short loop suitable for the family or an easy cruise. Possibilities exist to make this a MUCH longer ride, and even connect with the Deschutes River Trail.

Description

From the main Sunriver Lodge, find the bridge over the Sun River and follow the path towards the community airport. It's fun to watch the small private planes land or take off if you're lucky enough to have air traffic as you pass along the runway.

Pass the Marina Connector to the right (go check it out if you like), and shortly you'll hit the most scenic section of trail that follows the Deschutes River for about 1.5 miles. Enjoy a rest or two along the benches before turning away from the river and following the golf course back to where you started.

Beautiful weather. Not crowded. Not MTB trails, all paced so surprised to see it here, but whatever floats your boat.
