Description

This trail has a combination of grassy double and singletrack that has technical sections and two overlooks of Pleasantville, Lovely, I-99, Cessna, and Blue Knob.

This trail is described from south to north, section by section.

The trail begins as rocky singletrack beginning approximately 0.6-mile from the beginning of Buffalo Trail. This segment empties onto a short stub of logging road before reaching Buffalo Road.

The trail continues on the east side of Buffalo Road as doubletrack for 0.4 mile to the Overlook parking. After crossing a culvert, riders encounter a wall climb which is the steepest part of this trail. Riders going downhill should be alert for loose cobbly rocks. Beginners may want to continue up Buffalo Road to the Overlook parking to avoid the climb.

Grassier doubletrack continues for 0.8-mile with more gentle grades from the Overlook parking to Hen Way, north of the overlook platform.

Hen Way provides a bailout point back to Buffalo Road for anyone wanting to avoid the next 1.3-mile rockier doubletrack segment north of that point. The trail narrows more to singletrack for the final 0.5-miles north of the Switchback Trail intersection to Skyline Drive.

The Skyline Overlook is located 500 feet to the right once you reach the road.
