Family Friendly A nice wide trail featuring great scenery.

During the ski season, the trail is groomed for Nordic skiing. Also, be seen during the hunting season, mainly November.

Description

Red Pine is the starting trail of the Madawaska Nordic trail system. It climbs up to the crossroads, where Snow Bunting branches off, and where you cross the Snow Mobile trail.

After crossing the crossroads, you'll find Chickadee and Footloose on your right, followed by Hemlock Loop on your left. The Red Pine trail is a loop, and is measured from the parking lot, to it's end around the loop. The distance does not cover the trek back to the start.

This trail has some short punchy climbs, and is all singletrack. There are some rooty sections, and the odd rock, but overall this is an easier route.
