Description

The Milner Trail starts at the end of the Lower Salmon River Trail as an old doubletrack and climbs away from the river. You'll pass the Cable Car Hot Springs, which is worth a stop since it is a nice place to soak away from everyone. You'll then enter onto the Scott Ranch and continue climbing.

Once past the Scott Ranch the route becomes a very well maintained ATV trail as you finish your ascent into the trees. This is the historic Milner Trail that once took pack trains and miners into Florence Idaho during the gold rush of 1860.

This route can be linked with the Yakima Mine trail and the Lower Salmon River Trail to create a nice big loop in a very remote area.
