Paved/easy gravel road for much of this route.
Overview
Head out on mostly rural roads through forested areas with nice singletrack above the town of Loch. There are fun boulders adjacent to the trail, that make this a visually appealing ride. Look for some short undulating sections near the boulders, but everything else is easy.
Description
Parking for this ride can be found in the town of Edelsfeld. Cafe Heldrich is a great option to meet at, with parking, coffee, and baked goods.
To begin this ride, start out on a gravel farm road and take the alternating gravel/pavement options to the town of Konigstein. Proceed northeast out of Konigstein through Mitteldorf and Loch, leaving the road at Loch.
Proceed up the farm road, staying left at the split, to find the start of the hill-climb along a heavily forested stretch. Note: there is an alternate climb (expert level) if you stay right at the split.
Grind up the hill to the boulders, turning left when you see them to stay on the trail. There are a variety of trails in this area, so this would be the point to explore before returning to the start of this out-and-back route.
