It's an easy trail and not likely to be crowded with serious riders.
Description
To access this trail, park in the lot to the right just after entering the park. There is a clear sign to the trailhead. The trail can be ridden in either direction, but the preferred direction is clockwise.
The trail starts in a field for a short distance, then enters the woods. It flows back and forth, descending gently for about a mile until you get to a short boardwalk. This is the low point along the trail. The rest of the route will be climbing out, but a pretty mild climb.
The final few tenths of a mile are back in an open field, but the trail still weaves back and forth. The woods are mostly pine, so there is a layer of pine needles on a lot of the trail. The surface can be rather sandy but overall smooth throughout. There are very few roots, rocks, or technical features.
This is definitely a good beginner's trail. I ride it occasionally because it's close by and a good way to get some quick miles. There will be hikers and some other bikers, so be aware of other users.
