This trail is a blast to pump ride in either direction, just like riding a horse!
Description
This trail connects from Garden Brook - Sec 3 (Blue Square/ Intermediate) at intersection #37 to
Woopidy Woo (Blue Square/ Intermediate) at intersection #36. The preferred riding direction is clockwise, starting from the Garden Brook trail at intersection #36.
The trail starts near the high point of the trail system across the highway from the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. The grade is a very slight uphill through generally wide spaced trees with some rollers.
A quarter way through, you have reached the highest point and then the fun begins. The majority of this trail is a Pump Style trail, with endless waves of shallow dips and crests that are evenly spaced like waves of water. With the slight to moderate downhill slope of the trail and the waves, you'll be pumping the trail with minimal pedaling required.
The speed is whatever you make it, and you can stay on the ground or do some little hops. The feeling is like riding a horse at speed and staying out of the saddle. Quite Fun!
Near the end where it connects to
Woopidy Woo at intersection #36, there are a few shallow berm turns and wood plank bridges. You'll need to slow at the end to stay safe at the "T" intersection.
This trail can easily be ridden in reverse, although it will require more effort to work it in the uphill direction and deal with faster riders headed in the downhill direction. It is also easy to take a short loop back to the start and do it all over again!
