Description

Use this trail to ride up to (or down from) the Colorow Trail Spur for a great view above the town of New Castle. Be aware of very steep portions and v-shaped switchbacks that will challenge you to stay on the pedals both up and down.

The trail is mostly smooth as it makes its way through a forest of pinion and juniper. Look for views to occasionally open up to the south and the north.

Keep in mind that this trail is very popular with hikers and dog walkers. Don't forget to yield and say hello when encountering other trail users on this close to town, two-way trail.
