Description

The fact that this trail is so remote adds to its appeal - you won't find too many hikers or cyclists here. You pretty much have the trail all to yourself! This trail is truly an epic ride!

There are many many spots to stop and snap a picture or two, but, unfortunately, you won't want to because the downhill is so much fun! I was struggling between looking at the trail in front of me or looking at the surrounding views.

The upper part of the trail runs through a forested area that provides some shade, while the lower part opens up to low chaparral and shrubs.

The trail itself is hard-packed dirt, without any rocks or rock gardens. You can pick up speed rather easily along the straight sections. Be prepared for a couple of sharp turns here and there, but nothing an intermediate rider can't handle.

Highly recommended when the hills are green after the first couple of rains in the fall or in the spring.

Great trail, lots of fallen oak trees and large branches at the top. And little patches of snow at the top 16.4mi

No rain = Sandy trail. I would wait until we get a couple of rain events to ride this trail again. 16mi — 2h 00m
