The ski trail connector that leads to Python is one of the fastest trails at Lookout Mountain with some nice jumps as well. You'll have a short steep climb and then Python will be on your left.
Python winds its way through dense forest and has lots of good features including a bridge through a stand of ironwood trees, a natural drop of 2-3 ft off of a rock face, high areas and low areas with bridges. This trail can be a fun ripper once you have some good summer legs under you.
Towards the end, there are some supported corners for fast downhills and a purpose-built 5 ft drop into a steep run out. There are easier lines around all features. Python ends when it connects with the Ski Trail. Take a right and head down the Ski Trail for another fast rip with a few jumps. You could also take a left and go up hill and ride The Maples again. This is usually what we do.
