Overview
This loop consists of several trails that create a classic northeast, singletrack ride. The ride winds its way from the Pudding Pond kiosk to the Redstone Quarry and back through
Sticks and Stones. This loop has two distinct halves, the first half is up higher following a ridge along Middle and Rattlesnake Mountain, while the second half is flat and winding along the lower elevations.
Description
From the Pudding Pond kiosk, follow the trail left (east) to Peaked Mountain. After a short climb,
Sidehill will enter to the right. From here, you'll follow the signs for
Sidehill to
Rattlesnake, named after Rattlesnake Mountain.
Rattlesnake takes you through the Redstone Quarry with some very historic sites to see. The next trail in the mix is
Swenson, which winds through a different part of the quarry and showcases more of its history.
The high side of this loop stays pretty dry even after a hard rain. The lower side of the loop is a little wetter, which means you'll ride several bridges along the way.
