Description

This trail starts out as a steep descent on very narrow singletrack (some is just trampled grass). The trail eventually gets in the the trees where it gets a little rooty and rocky. Most of the trail is traversing a steep grade with little room for error.

The final descent to Hermosa Creek follows an exposed cliff that leads down to the creek. When you reach Hermosa Creek, you'll need to cross it to hook up with Hermosa Creek Trail. Hermosa Creek can run high in early spring/summer making it a dangerous crossing (waist to shoulder deep). Please be aware that the trail is also open to motorcycles.
